John Coffman's Group Discussion Concludes
This is the last week for this session of John's Thursday night class. We will take a break for a few weeks and then resume. Watch our calendar for the dates of the next class.
CASA at Parkview Center
Every Monday evening Dave Olson, our prison minister, conducts a CASA (Christians Against Substance Abuse) classat the Parkview Center, a local halfway house to which men who have been incarcerated have been released. Dave uses the NewLife Behavior curriculum, which has many courses, each course having 13 lessons. After each class, the students take the lessons and answer the questions, bringing them back the following week for grading.
If you would be interested in learning to assist Dave in this worthwhile work, contact him at the church office at 272-7584.
John Coffman's Group Discussion Class Continues
If you have attended John's Q & A Class before you know what a rich spiritual banquet it is. This class has evolved into a loosely structured group discussion. John is still the fascilitator but different students present their studied material and then John summarizes and adds the results of his own studies on the subject.
This class will continue each Thursday evening through March 25. John and Marlene open their home to those of us who want to attend this wonderful opportunity to learn more about what God's Word has for us to learn.
If you've attended the previous class, please bring your binder and materials for this class. If you haven't attended before, please let John know that you plan to be a part of this next session and he will make up a binder for you.
