Every Monday evening Dave Olson, our prison minister, conducts a CASA  (Christians Against Substance Abuse) classat the Parkview Center, a local halfway house to which men who have been incarcerated have been released. Dave uses the NewLife Behavior curriculum, which has many courses, each course having 13 lessons. After each class, the students take the lessons and answer the questions, bringing them back the following week for grading.

If you would be interested in learning to assist Dave in this worthwhile work, contact him at the church office at 272-7584.

Dave Olson, our prison minister, coordinates a monthly worship service at the Parkview Center on the third Sunday of every month. The Parkview Center is a local halfway house to which formerly incarcerated men have been released.

This is a rich opportunity to expose the residents to the Gospel while they are in this transitional stage. At some point they may be allowed to attend our worship services and we want to give them an idea of what the Gospel is about.

Dave relies heavily on men of the congregation to help him conduct these worship services by bringing lessons, leading singing, serving the Lord's Supper, and praying. If you are interested in being a part of this great work, or if you just have questions about it, contact Dave at the church office at 272-7584 or at prisonminister@gci.net.
