Deaf Ministry
Andrew Deuschle heads up the deaf ministry at ACoC. Our deaf members are a close-knit group and, in many ways, are a church within a church.
Contact Andrew at andrew.deuschle@anchoragechurchofchrist.org or TTY 907-272-7684.
Our deaf members meet at the following times (hearing persons are welcome):
Sunday
Bible Study - 9:00 A.M.
Worship - 10:15 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
Wednesday
Bible Study - 7:00 P.M.
Deaf Leadership Conference
The Anchorage Church of Christ is hosting our 1st Annual Deaf Leadership Conference April 10-13, 2011. If you work with the Deaf in any leadership capacity, whether as an official "minister" or not, we hope you will join us for this groundbreaking event. We also invite at least one elder from each congregation represented.
The conference theme is "Brotherhood: Keeping the Unity" with Ephesians 4:1-6 as the key verse. We will post the final program schedule at a later date
The event is free, but we ask that you register online.
Deaf Minister Away
Andrew Deuschle, our deaf minister, and his family are away on vacation visiting his family in Kansas. He will be back and will conduct the Deaf Bible class and Worship on Sunday, July 25.
Alaska Statewide Lectureship
This will be a "SPECIAL" lectureship on "Christian Basics." What will make this lectureship "special" is that we will bring in speakers from the Lower 48 instead of using our own Alaska preachers. All of the churches of Christ iin Alaska will be involved in the planning of this lectureship. We will only serve as the host. It should be a wonderful occasion, so mark your calendars and make plans to be here.
Office Closed for Memorial Day
The church office will be closed Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume normal hours tomorrow, June 1 at 8:00 AM.
