Deaf Ministry
Andrew Deuschle heads up the deaf ministry at ACoC. Our deaf members are a close-knit group and, in many ways, are a church within a church.

Our deaf members meet at the following times (hearing persons are welcome):
Sunday
Bible Study - 9:00 A.M.
Worship - 10:15 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
Wednesday
Bible Study - 7:00 P.M.
Simms/Smith Wedding
Doretha Simms and Joe Smith will exchange wedding vows at the Anchorage Church of Christ at 1:30. Deaf minister Andrew Deuschle will officiate. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
Fall Quarter Begins
Today is a special day! Besides being the Lord's Day, it is also Promotion Day!
So, what exactly does that mean? Does every child move up to a new class? Here's the answer . . .
3s/4s' class - If your child turns four after September 1, he/she will remain in the 3s & 4s' class until Promotion Day 2009. If your child is four years old on or before September 1 of this year, he/she will go into the Pre-kindergarten class.
Delph/Stroud Wedding
Lydia & Josh's wedding ceremony will be held at the Anchorage Church of Christ at 1:30 immediately followed by a reception. Come wish Lydia and Josh many happy years together.
Alaska Statewide Lectureship
The Anchorage congregation is hosting this annual event and we look forward to giving you our best effort. We will post more information when plans are underway. Please check back with us and make your plans now to attend.
Bible Bowl at South Anchorage
The South Anchorage congregation is hosting a Bible Bowl . It is open to all ages. Each team must have four members.
The topic will be the "Sermon on the Mount" (Matthew 5, 6, & 7 NKJV). There will be teams for three divisions: 3rd through 6th grades, 7th through 12th grades, and adults.
Please RSVP regarding how many teams will attend and the age group.
Deaf Banquet
The Deaf of the congregation hold this annual banquet to show their appreciation for all of the encouragement and support given to them over the past year. They provide a formal catered dinner that will delight any pallette
Besides a fabulous meal, the Deaf will provide original entertaiment, which will be interpreted for the hearing and you will really enjoy it.
There is no charge for the evening, but you must have a ticket to attend. See Andrew to get yours..
Deaf Potluck
The Deaf of the congregation meet for a potluck lunch and spend time in fellowship. The hearing are invited to bring food and join them.

Summer Quarter Ends
Today is the last class of the summer. The Fall Quarter will begin Sunday, September 7.
This coming Sunday is also Promotion Day. If you are now in the following classes:
3 & 4 year olds - Students who turn 4 on or before September 1 will go to the Pre-K class in room 7B. All other 3 year olds remain in the 3 & 4-year-olds' class.
Pre-K through grade 4 - Students promoto to the next class.
Grade 5 - Students remain in the 5th & 6th-grade class.
Grade 6 - Students promote to the Junior High class.
Grade 7 - Students remain in the Junior High class.
Grade 8 - Students promote to the High School class.
Grades 9 - 11 - Students remain in the High School class.
